Challenge
In vehicle production, defects and quality deficiencies regularly lead to so-called rework. These rework activities are time-consuming and costly.
Solution
To reduce rework, the installed optional extras per vehicle are analyzed using machine learning and statistical analysis methods. In this way, conclusions can be drawn or predictions made as to which combinations of optional extras lead to particularly high levels of rework.
Benefit
During production, vehicles with "eye-catching" combinations can be built with particular care or these vehicles can be placed more optimally in the production sequence. This saves high costs in rework.
